Job Summary
The University of Michigan Shared Services Center (U-M SSC) is a customer service organization focused on providing user-friendly and cost-effective administrative services to the university community. The SSC offers key financial and human resource transaction services to customers.
Reporting to the HR Coordinator Supervisor, the HR Coordinator Intermediate Associate serves as a member of the Human Resource Operations Team. You will provide administrative support to numerous University units across campus. In this role, you will process job postings, personnel action requests, payroll changes, payroll reporting, special projects, other complex transactions, and audit inquiries. This is an opt-in service that provides coordination and processing of front-end HR transactions.
Work Location:
Because occasional on-site presence may be required, you are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to Ann Arbor. You are required to have a high-speed internet connection and a designated working space in your home. Equipment, including a laptop and monitors, will be provided for your use.

Responsibilities*
Develop subject matter expertise in the area of HR through on-the-job training.
Spend 80% of time completing transactions.
Handle a high volume of tickets using a case management tool to open, document, process, and resolve tickets.
Manage job openings and HR job data in U-M software.
Process employment records for staff, faculty, non-students, and students.
Conduct resume review and interview scheduling.
Work in a collaborative environment, with business partners, customers, and colleagues.
Participate in continuous process improvement projects
Required Qualifications*
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience providing customer service
Intermediate level proficiency with data entry and computer skills
1+ years of experience with business software solutions
Modes of Work
The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.
