Summary
This position is a leadership position joining the Quality Assurance Lead Technologist team, overseeing the management of MRI imaging protocols at all Michigan Medicine MRI sites ?with a specialty focus in Pediatric MRI. This position also provides educational support to 150 MRI technologists

Responsibilities*
Updating protocols on all scanners for Pediatric and Adult MR imaging, with Pediatric patients being the focal patient population. MROR is included in this position's responsibility.
Travel to all sites of operation; C&W, Northville Health Center, Brighton Center for Specialty Care, University Hospital, East Ann Arbor Health Center where pediatric protocols are relevant.
Be competent in protocol development on all vendor platforms within Michigan Medicine MRI; Siemens, GE and Philips
Communicate protocol changes and provide MRI education to the technologists in a timely fashion through one-on-one interaction, Outlook/Teams and a bi-monthly newsletters.
Maintain and update the Shared T drive and Radiology SharePoint imaging protocol guidance with all pertinent Pediatric Protocol information via Radiology intranet.
Work with divisional radiologists as necessary, in developing and/or improving clinical and research protocols.
Facilitate regular protocol review meetings with each division within MRI.
Work collaboratively with the Quality Control teams, adult Quality Assurance team and schedulers, answering all questions pertaining to Pediatric protocols/scheduling. This collaboration includes a monthly newsletter for all Pediatric Quality Assurance topics.
Work closely with MRI management in maintaining proper and timely QA documentation; assisting in determining the impact of protocol changes on scheduling and through put.
In cooperation with neuroradiology, manage fMRI paradigm development and protocols relevant to post-processing/reformatting.
Serve as a role model for the staff and provide support for the team.
Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record.
Required Qualifications*
Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) with CT Primary Certification or registration as a Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) (must be completed no later than 6 month of hire date.)
BLS Certification
3+ years of experience scanning on Philips 1.5T (Ingenia, Ambition) and 3T Ingenia Systems
Advanced imaging experience; Cardiac, fMRI, 3D processing and/or Fetal imaging
Desired Qualifications*
Experience scanning on GE system and Siemens
Experience with alternative MR imaging systems (MR OR, low-field scanning, etc.)
3+ Years of Pediatric scanning experience
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Sharepoint, Powerpoint, Excel)
MRSO Certification
Experience in MR imaging protocol building / development
Interest in continuing MR education through personal development
Work Schedule
4x 10 hour shifts 7-5pm M-F
