Mom's Meals Commercial Strategy Intern in Ankeny, Iowa
Position SummaryThe Commercial Strategy Intern will work closely with Mom's Meals' Commercial Strategy team in researching topics and developing deliverables that will help define the organizations near- and long-term priorities. This role will help facilitate professional development of a diverse, cross-cutting skillset with rich exposure to a rapidly evolving "Food as Medicine" industry sitting at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and consumer products.
The Mom's Meals Summer Internship Program is a paid project-based 10 or 12-week program beginning May 19 or June 2, 2025, and ending August 8,2025. Our project-based internship program provides interns with the training, coaching, and hands on experience to be successful professionals in their chosen fields. Our internship assignments focus on practical, value-added projects that help create a connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is required in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.We encourage interns to be on-site/hybrid in our Ankeny office, but this internship can also be completed in a remote setting.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
Market assessment on emerging trends, headwinds, and tailwinds relevant to Mom's Meals and broader 'Food As Medicine' industry
Competitive research on Mom's Meals' competitor set
Analytics to support quantitative assessment of ideas / initiatives (ROI, value at stake)
Process management to support execution of initiatives
Deliverable preparation to support communication to stakeholders
Collaboration with other functional departments to scope and define strategic priorities
Collaboration and coordination with full Commercial Strategy, including Product and Self-Pay functions
Required Skills and Experience
Be at least 18 years old at the time you begin the internship, and be at a college junior or senior; open to graduate level intern candidates as well
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Nutrition Science, Pre-Medical Studies, or other applicable field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Proficiency in Excel, including ability to create pivot tables and scope high-level analyses
Proficiency in PowerPoint, including ability to storyline deliverables and generate materials to support communication
Comfortability in navigating and digesting insights from dashboards (PowerBI)
Research and documentation skills to support analysis
Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills to drive cross-departmental collaboration
Strong organization and time-management skills
Interest in working for a mission-driven company focused on healthcare and 'Food as Medicine' topics
Creativity and curiosity to problem-solve ambiguous topics
Willing to travel regionally for in-person meeting and events (as needed)
