Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Andover, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent and meticulous Administrative Assistant in Andover, Massachusetts. The role involves a variety of administrative tasks within the telecom industry, with a particular focus on policy management, correspondence handling, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process new submissions for policy issuance or quote purposes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agent or underwriter specifications.

• Sort and prioritize tasks, returned mail, emails, and faxed requests, ensuring efficient workflow.

• Prepare, categorize, scan, and upload requests and correspondence to the Policy File for easy access and reference.

• Review and process renewal policies, verifying changes and premiums, and correcting system generated renewals.

• Handle endorsement change requests, obtaining necessary information and documents when required.

• Review Umbrella Renewal Questionnaires, run MVRs, and process approved changes, ensuring all procedures are followed.

• Assist Agents with quoting, questions, and issues, providing excellent customer service.

• Assign tasks to the Personal Lines Underwriters that require decision making and knowledge of Underwriting Program Guidelines.

• Prepare certified copies/duplicate policies, endorsements, and files in accordance with Underwriter, Claims Examiner, and agent requests.

• Report issues in programming to proper parties and provide specific examples, contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Administrative experience Requirements • Possess at least one year of prior experience in an administrative role

• Proficient in using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Able to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven problem-solving abilities and an innovative approach to tasks

• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

• Experience in customer service and relationship management is a plus

• A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education degrees are a plus.
