Natives of Kodiak Sr. Corporate Accountant- Anchorage, AK in Anchorage, Alaska

KOMAN Holdings has a lucrative career opportunity for a Sr. Corporate Accountant that will report into the Anchorage, AK headquarters on a hybrid basis. The Sr. Corporate Accountant will perform, track and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities. The Sr. Corporate Accountant responsibilities include full cycle accounting for multiple entities to include annual budgets, monthly and year-end close, prepare financial statements, reconciliations, work directly with auditors for those entities. Senior Corporate Accountant will also prepare ad hoc reports and perform financial data analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform and complete daily tasks as part of the corporate accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, cash forecasting revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, investment statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity, debt activity.

  • Work with Corporate Accounting Manager and Executive Leadership team to establish annual budget for multiple entities.

  • Provide input on development of procedures, policies, field training and reporting processes.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

  • Assist with preparation of annual financial statement audit information requests and other compliance and information reports.

  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

  • Meet financial accounting objectives.

  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

  • Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite and regularly work hours specified.

  • Professionally interact with colleagues, members of the public, clients, and business associates.

  • Comply with all company policies and applicable laws.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) years relevant experience required

  • Public accounting experience or CPA license preferred.

  • Experience with MS Office, accounting software, and databases.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.

  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.

  • Ability to work within a team of professional accountants.
