About the Team

The Receptionist Team works to ensure quality customer service and manage the assigned reception area in a professional and efficient manner to facilitate the care of internal and external AKBH consumers. This position also provides administrative assistance to members of the Clinical Teams, Medical Providers, and Program staff. AKBH Receptionists are welcoming and positive and are able to work effectively with the public and individuals presenting with mental and/or physical disabilities.

What Youll Do

  • Collect and verify client insurance and payer source information.
  • Schedule appointments according to individual payer plan, collect and verify coverage and benefits on an on-going basis;
  • Collect client contact, demographic, and guardianship information. Ensure required paperwork has been completed and signed by client prior to services;
  • Collect client co-payments, Advanced Beneficiary Notices, Fee Sets, Pre-Authorizations, or client signatures when applicable and/or requested by the Billing Department or Program staff;

  • Pay Range is between $19.23 and $24.89 DOE

What We Need from You

  • You have at least two years of relevant experience or a combination of relevant degree coursework/experience, with preference towards experience in the medical or behavioral health industry
  • You have the necessary skills to work with a population that can be severely mentally ill
  • Youre a self-starter and dont mind working on multiple tasks at one time, and you are able to meet deadlines and follow-up when necessary
