Menzies Aviation Quality Control Technician in Anchorage, Alaska

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and specification to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.

  • Selects and performs tests fuel/additive products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and or chemical characteristics using full laboratory testing under ASTM D-1655.

  • Performs sampling on mobile and installed equipment.

  • Records test data, following statistical quality control standards.

  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.

  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.

  • Investigates customer complaints regarding quality.

  • Manage and inspect cathodic protection systems.

  • Inspects workers engaged in maintenance, inspection, and testing activities to ensure continuous quality control over materials, facilities, and work.

  • Comply with all Local, State and Federal regulatory reporting and requirements.

  • Facility Quality Control auditor.

  • Is able to meet the Station’s attendance standards.

  • Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test.

  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, FAA, ATA 103, and Menzies documentation, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished iii written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • 24-Hour HAZMAT Certification (can be trained)

  • Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license, TWIC Card and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
