Providence Physical Therapist (AK Region Float) in Anchorage, Alaska
Description:
Providence is calling a Physical Therapist (Physical Therapy, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is an Alaska Region Float position with the expectation to cover locations in Seward, Valdez and Anchorage
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy under the prescription of a physician licensed in the State of Alaska
Communicate with team members and outside agencies to identify patient needs, changes, overall condition of patient, and determine future levels of care
Contact vendors for durable medical equipment needs
Assist in coordinating discharge plan
Document evaluation, plan, care delivered and outcomes according to hospital and department standards
Provide patient, family and community education
Demonstrate safe use and knowledge of equipment in home department
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Alaska
BLS required within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Experience and credentials in sub-specialty
