TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION A173 Maintenance Support Tech I - III in Anahuac, Texas

Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.Essential Duties:Maintenance Support Tech I:Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or frontdesk assistant.Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipmentConducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services onadjustments needed.Maintains equipment service records.Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance, budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.Monitors and assists with data entry for maintenance contract record keepingReceives, sorts, opens, evaluates content and distributes mailMaintains calendars for department personnel to include scheduling meetings, coordinating and making appointments,and travel arrangements.Performs other job responsibilities as assignedAdditional Duties for Maintenance Support Tech II and III:Maintains radio contact with field units; responds to assists with emergency situations as requiredMonitors the use of equipment and transfers.Prepares statistical reports and verifies for accuracy and completenessProcesses change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work ordersReviews and processes records of completed maintenance projectsProcesses receipts and invoices for paymentPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
