Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in Amsterdam, New York. This role is involved in various aspects of accounting and analysis, spanning multiple departments The successful candidate will work closely with division managers across the organization and will have regular exposure to senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a variety of accounting duties across different departments
• Perform variance and trend analysis to help in decision-making processes
• Ensure internal controls are adhered to and optimized for efficiency
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and ADP - Payroll
• Collaborate with several division managers to ensure smooth operations of accounting processes
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and policies
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations
• Balance operational, administrative and customer needs to meet goals and objectives.
Requirements
• Familiarity with accounting principles and procedures is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected
• Experience in data entry is necessary
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is important
• Familiarity with billing processes is required
• Experience with invoice processing is necessary
• Proficiency in Oracle is desired
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is important
• Experience with ADP - Payroll is desired
• Ability to perform account reconciliation is crucial
• Open to candidates with 0+ years of experience in accounting or related field
