Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Amsterdam, New York

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry in AMSTERDAM, New York, United States. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk who is proficient in maintaining and organizing financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable; matching, batching, coding & entering invoices.

• Entering, posting, and reconciling batches

• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records.

• Take the initiative to resolve any issues related to accounts payable with vendors or customers.

• Keep up-to-date with the sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliation.

• Handle cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks effectively.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, data entry, and general ledger coding.

• Excellent skills in calculation, posting of business transactions, and statistical analysis.

• Ability to maintain accurate and complete financial records.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing all tasks.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.

• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

• Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills in accounting.
