About you

You are passionate about machine repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, problem diagnosis and you have a technical understanding of machinery. You enjoy participating in reliability initiatives, opening & closing work orders, training other colleagues. Because you care, you enjoy providing feedback on machinery performance and learn constantly about new methods.

You will need

  • Interprovincial Red Seal certificate – Millwright

  • Genuine care, understanding and adherence of safe working practices

  • Willingness to upgrade certain skills. Especially if required by the job

  • Level of fitness that will enable you to perform the functions of the trade (must pass medical examination by plant assigned doctor).

  • To own your responsibility to report food safety challenges and/or quality problems to management

  • A proven mechanical aptitude and ability to perform the maintenance activities required of the position, always with a smile

  • Innovative, diligent, safety orientated mindset and a proven attendance record

  • To be capable of effectively performing requirements of the job with a minimum amount of supervision and of working alone when necessary or required

  • Experience in all aspects of the Millwright Industrial Mechanic’s trade

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proven ability to conduct emergency repairs in plant operational areas

  • Demonstrated computer skills will be considered an asset, especially SAP, Excel and other Microsoft Suit apps.
