Weekend Respite Support Professional (PRN - Flexible Hours)

Community Based Services (Respite/SCL/Day Habilitation) Ames, Iowa



Up to $14.00/hour! Eligible for $750 hiring bonus! Do you want to get paid to have fun? If so, ChildServe Respite has a job for you! Provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in group settings throughout the weekend. Scheduleshifts vary:

Friday: 5pm-11pm, 11pm - Saturday 7am

Saturday: 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - Sunday 7am

Sunday: 7am - Noon, Noon - 5pm

What You’ll Do

  • Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break.

  • Be creative while engaging children in activities.

  • Provide group services at the Ames Respite Center.

  • Receive ongoing training and supervision.

  • Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing.

    What You'll Need

  • Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

  • Must be able to provide your own transportation.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

  • This position will be subject to COVID-19 safety requirements. Specific requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
