Group Summary
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. About the Role
Setup and develop molding processes and establish operating procedures.
Your Responsibilities
Develops, evaluates and improves molding processes to include automation where appropriate.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Confers with management, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Establish proper documentation, write operation instructions and maintain process books.
Perform DOE's and FMEA's.
Monitor scrap percentages and improve levels.
Interface with quality control and make sure products are being produced up to QC standards.
Troubleshoot molding machines and new tools.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Conduct and/or participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
Apply synchronous manufacturing concepts to enhance mold processes and generate appropriate data to support conclusions.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Responsible for performing machine inspections and ensure that equipment is maintained in a safe manner
Ensures safe operating procedures are in place and are observed
Observes safety rules and regulations
Your preferred qualifications
2 years related experience - Required
4-year degree in plastics engineering - Preferred
RJG Certified - Preferred
5 to 10 years plastics process engineering experience - Preferred
