Technical Training Specialist Job Description
AMS HP Indigo is looking for a high energy, forward thinking, passionate, and customer centric individual to join our elite team of Technical Training Specialists in Alpharetta, GA to help further strengthen and expand our agility and capabilities.
The focus of this role will require very strong HP Indigo technical knowledge as delivery of HP Indigo S3 New Hire Training will be the predominant responsibility of the candidate.
This individual should be very self-motivated, able to problem solve, can be very flexible with travel, and willing to share fresh new ideas. This role will require an individual who can work on their own out in the field as well as part of a larger team and has excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Having a growth mindset, being bold, and willing to pilot new technologies and methodologies to provide the best customer experience is the expectation. Outgoing personality, positive attitude, experience in training delivery, and excellent communication skills are preferred.
Job expectations would include the delivery of both customer and HP Internal training, completing mandatory internal trainings on time, regular team collaboration with other members of the immediate team as well as global counterparts, and prompt attention to all other administrative tasks associated with the job function, such as expense reporting, follow-up reports, and closing calls in the system.
This individual will need to be capable of delivering HP internal service level training, customer L2 and L3 training, and/or value-added service visits on both Commercial and Labels and Packaging press platforms.
35% travel should be the expectation for this position.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Deliver HP Indigo Customer Engineer training classes and Operator Training Classes either at an HP Indigo Training facility or at a customer site.
Perform all the pre- and post-class administrative tasks associated with the job role on time, completely, and satisfactorily.
Keep labs clean, orderly, and well stocked. Keep presses maintained and in good working order.
Development of HP Indigo Course Content.
Work as a cooperative strong member of the team providing the best possible experience for both internal and external customers.
Worldwide and team collaboration on the delivery of common messaging and development of training materials and content for continuous improvement.
Stay up to date on press models, features, and their respective value proposition.
Always portray a strong professional appearance and presence.
Provide strong solid communication feedback.
Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customers.
Resolve single- and cross- technology incidents independently. Work with team members to resolve unusually complex or cross- technology incidents.
Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent problems from occurring in team/technology area.
Apply HP solutions to meet highly complex customer needs.
Identify additional services that could lead to future service revenue growth.
Provide technical consulting during contract renewal discussions.
Build and maintain strong relationship up to senior management level in assigned accounts.
Design and deliver support solutions using specific industry knowledge and expertise.
Assist in managing delivery of industry support solutions.
Lead Customer Expectation management as part of escalation process.
Lead cross-team or large programs/projects.
Coach or guide junior consultants.
Required skills:
Excellent communication ability - both spoken and written.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of HP Indigo Presses.
Excellent presentation skills and engaging public speaking ability.
Positive, 'Can Do' attitude.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of print production and workflow
Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Solid business acumen
Additional desired skills:
Fluent in Spanish is a plus
Color Management experience
G7 Certification
Prior training/teaching experience
Strong technical knowledge of HP Indigo digital press technology
Adobe Creative Suite
Course creation software experience; Articulate360
Experience with augmented reality environments
Candidate would have to reside in the Alpharetta/Atlanta area.
The base pay range for this role is $90,100 to $130,650 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
