Actalent Senior Mechanical Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia

Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a professionally licensed Sr. Mechanical Engineer (PE) with over 10 years of experience in developing, designing, and delivering capital projects within manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to the Sales team for client opportunities and support client presentations.

  • Manage both internal and external resources and subcontractors to complete projects and meet deadlines.

  • Oversee financial management and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

  • Conduct site surveys and data collection on client sites to design new projects.

  • Perform engineering analysis to identify opportunities for improvements that meet customer financial and infrastructure needs.

  • Conduct feasibility studies for various types of projects.

  • Develop investment-grade design specifications, drawings, and installation budgets for assigned projects.

  • Create project drawings using AutoCAD - Plant 3D or Revit (preferred).

  • Lead design engineering efforts and provide engineer-of-record support during project implementation.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to the engineering staff.

Performance Expectations:

  • Provide sales support for proposal development.

  • Lead project engineering engagements from concept design through construction and startup.

  • Manage and track project budgets with profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.

  • Oversee project conception, design, and specification.

  • Manage scheduling, estimating, and procurement of labor, equipment, and materials.

  • Track project progress and control costs.

  • Provide engineering guidance to various projects.

  • Train new engineers and stay updated on industry trends and issues through conferences and development opportunities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active PE License in at least one US state.

  • Extensive experience with industrial utility systems (e.g., Boilers, Chillers, Heat Pumps, Pumping systems, Compressed Air, HVAC, Industrial Refrigeration, etc.).

  • Experience with industrial decarbonization and electrification projects..

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD - Plant 3D or Revit is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00
