Siemens Energy Power Plant Control System Hardware Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia
A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will function as a Hardware (HW) Engineer providing hardware engineering design using Siemens Energy Omnivise-T3000 for Power Generation Equipment and digitalization. On a day-to-day basis, HW Engineer spends 80% of their time in the back office on project related activities while the other 20% will be spent onsite supporting installation and commissioning Control system cabinets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Evaluation of Distributed Control System (DCS) for new and modernization installations, I/O list preparation.
Cabinet Layout and IO channel/ card assignment.
Basic and detailed engineering of DCS system Control cabinets.
Heat load calculation for DCS/ PLC cabinets.
Interconnect Drawing between cabinets.
Network design and developing the drawing.
What You Bring
Bachelor of Science from an accredited university in Engineering or related field. 3+ years experience in Manufacturing, testing and HW Engineering. Working HW knowledge on new unit Siemens Energy Gas turbines and Steam turbines, BOP HW standards.
Proficient with Siemens Energy DCS -T3000 and Siemens S7 based system.
Hands on knowledge on AutoCAD Electrical, COMOS, E-Plan.
Experience with DCS, PLC HW design is preferred. Controls Modernization HW engineering is preferred.
A self-motivated teammate with strong problem-solving skills. Task oriented with excellent time management; always willing to learn!
