Essential Functions:
- Performs and logs inspections on equipment, reporting any defects found.
- Safely transports freight to destinations while maintaining communication with dispatch.
- Maintains transportation records including ELD, bill of ladings, scale tickets, fuel receipts and other load related paperwork.
- Employee will familiarize themselves with SDS sheets pertaining to any products or chemicals used along with the required PPE.
- Ability to pull, lift and carry heavy objects-max 50 lbs.
- Ability to use various hand and power tolls, including a zero-turn mower.
- Ability to perform job tasks in a safe manner.
- Adheres to organizational standards, policies, and procedures including legal regulations while alerting others of potential concerns.
Job Requirements:
- The candidate must have commercial driving experience with a current Class A CDL.
- Also, must be able to pass a D.O.T. medical examination and drug screening.
- Candidates must be able to be dispatched out of Alma, Michigan.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 -- 40 per week
Experience: Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
