DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Technician , you will perform a variety of responsibilities directed toward the synthesis of polymers and other materials used to make coatings. This position is located in Hampton Twp, PA and you will report to an S&T Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities * Set up reaction equipment, handle chemical reactants, perform analytical measurements. * Gather data and record detailed accounts of results in a laboratory notebook. * Apply technical know-how according to established procedures and precedents to recommend alternative solutions to problems to pursue project goals. * Independent execution on all aspects of an experiment with guidance from supervisor. * Interpret data and make recommendations for future work. * Work safely with hazardous materials daily, follow rigorous safety procedures, and wear personal protective equipment including the occasional use of a respirator.
Qualifications * High school education with high school chemistry experience * Mechanical and mathematical skills * 1+ years of lab experience
