Research Chemist - Chromatography Expert - JR2410502

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Analytical Research Chemist, you'll be working as part of a dynamic, cross functional team providing compositional insight for new product development. The successful candidate will lead project workstreams where compositional analysis is needed, develop robust Chromatography methods for R&D projects, perform GPC, HPLC, and GC analysis with data interpretation for R&D and production groups. The role will manage a dynamic workload using communication, organization, and prioritization skills to manage capability and capacity.

Key Responsibilities: * Develop robust Chromatography methods for new products in a timely manner. * Collaborate as a researcher on the development and launch of new products. * Work with business and technical collaborators to understand priorities, solve problems and communicate findings. * Suggest and implement process improvements for laboratory operations across several work streams * Consult on Global projects that relate to analytical Chromatography analysis. * Perform GPC, HPLC, and GC including sample analysis and/or data interpretation. * Maintain schedule of projects and timelines. * Deliver high quality results, conclusions, and recommendations. * Maintain a safe working environment. * Ensure the lab follows safety protocols.

Qualifications: * Ph.D. in Chemistry, materials science, physics, engineering, or related subject area (Analytical Chemistry preferred) and 0-5 years of industrial work experience. * BS with industrial experience with 10 years of experience * MS with industrial experience with 5 years of experience * In-depth understanding of Chromatography techniques. * Ability to lead the development and implementation of Chromatography methods * Willing to travel between our Allison park and Monroeville sites up to 50% of time * Self-motivated problem solver who can manage projects with minimal supervision. * Previous experience with advanced data analysis techniques preferred.
