DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Entry Level Chemist, you will focus on developments of PPG's innovative additive manufacturing technology, Ambient Reactive Extrusion (ARE™). You will solve technical problems, support new application development initiatives across different departments, participate in multiple government funded research programs, and generate patentable technical innovations in the Additive Manufacturing space. Key Responsibilities:  * Perform laboratory work for the formulations that are feasible with ARE printing technologies and many material and physical characterizations. This involves formulating new crosslinking strategies, developing new polymeric compositions, investigating functional fillers, characterizing material characteristics, understanding structure-property relationships for both mechanical properties and 3D buildability.  * Perform several types of testing to evaluate properties of polymeric compositions and printed articles including tensile properties, thermal and rheological properties.  * Analyze experimental results to determine technical path forward and implement experiments.  * Participate in patentable technical innovations while identifying and understanding the competitive IP landscape.  * Maintain detailed records and documentation for performed experiments and testing.  * Collaborate with other team members across the company.

Basic Qualifications:  * 0+ years of experience  * Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Materials Science is required.  * Foundational chemistry knowledge with polymers/organic chemistry.  * US Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
