Job Overview The Quality Inspector conducts quality checks in the production facility to ensure that defined company standards are met, and product integrity is preserved. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs in-process inspections of molded parts (part size, weight, wall thickness, etc.)

``` - Carries out specific measurement of products using equipment/tools (gauges, scales, calipers, etc.) - Records results on part-specific forms and reports findings to molding team - Assists in identifying root causes and corrective actions of minor molding issues - Follows inspection priorities set by QA Technicians and Supervisor - Performs CNC and Finishing first part approval inspections - Records results on part-specific forms and reports findings to CNC and Finishing teams - Communicates nonconformance to appropriate production, operations, or quality staff - Performs final inspections (Dock audits) - Records results on part-specific forms; Logs nonconformance findings in database - Identifies and communicates nonconformance found during final inspections - Explains quality requirements of parts to production employees, including interpretation of set up forms, inspection plans, and customer prints - Provides internal quality issue support - Provides assistance for nonconforming product identification, containment, and segregation - Identifies any gauges or measuring equipment requiring calibration or repair - Participates in 6S compliance and audits - Understands basic ISO procedures and practices

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

``` - Competency in basic math including decimals and fractions required - Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) required - Entry level experience in manufacturing required; Knowledge of manufacturing environment/processes - Entry level experience as a QA/QC Inspector required - Experience and competency using basic measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, and weight scales required - Experience in plastics manufacturing preferred - Experience with ISO compliance preferred

Working Conditions

  • Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time.
  • This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include, but not limited to:
    • Ovens, torches, and rotating tools
    • Forklifts and other moving machinery
    • Loud work environment
