Lehigh County is currently in need of a Transportation Construction Manager 2, and the Department of Transportation is actively searching for the right candidate to fill this position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Utilizing expertise in construction project management, this role involves creating constructability review plans for various projects. This includes selecting team members from construction, maintenance, and design departments, setting up meeting schedules and field visits, documenting and addressing issues, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective communication among project team members and managers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Transportation Construction Manager 1. or Five years of experience in construction inspection, three of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, and graduation from high school or equivalent certification or formal training. Completion of a training program in construction inspection sanctioned by the using agency may be substituted for high school graduation. An associate degree in an engineering or closely related technology may be substituted for one year of the required non-supervisory experience. or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Other Requirements: This particular position requires candidates to possess a valid Class C driver's license or equivalent. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
