Overview

The Sr Director of Infra Tech and Ops is responsible for infrastructure solutions, automation of infrastructure services, technology operations, and processes used to enable data, digital, and technology capabilities and services across IT. #INDPPL #INDLGE #INDRIE LI-Hybrid

NOTE: Please note this position is hybrid to one of our local offices in: Allentown, PA; Louisville, KY or Providence, RI.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, testing, and deploying of applications and product releases into operational environments (eg, cloud, on-premises infrastructure)

  • Ensure proper management and maintenance of end-user device solutions

  • Responsible for managing the operational support and maintenance of data, digital, and technology products and applications

  • Oversee day-to-day infrastructure activities as well as long-term strategic initiatives to align with the Enterprise goals and objectives

  • Continually improve IT Infrastructure standards, policies, processes, and procedures for the Enterprise and ensure the availability, integrity, and security for all data, digital, and technology resources

  • Drive architectural improvements and standardization for the IT infrastructure environments and services

  • Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of Infrastructure / Operations solutions

  • Accountable for full Technology Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Oversees organizational capability that provides technical assistance to employees for their technology, software, and hardware issues – and ensures a positive employee experience with technology products and services

  • Ensures technology product and service users’ issues are captured, tracked, and resolved

  • Manage and improve the end-user experience with Technology products, platforms, and services

Qualifications

Education or Equivalent Experience

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related degree; certifications and advanced degrees are a plus or equivalent professional experience. We value a combination of education, skills, and practical experience, and encourage applicants with a proven track record in Technology to apply, regardless of formal educational background.

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations

  • Extensive experience with data center management, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components and best practices

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies

  • Ability to align IT transformation initiatives with the overall business strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications would be a plus

  • Utilities industry experience
