Aerotek Yard Laborer in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania
Job Title: Yard Laborer $18-19/hr!
Job Description
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a 1hr lunch.
Will be outside 24/7 rain or shine.
The yard laborer is responsible for checking in cars. The job begins by visually inspecting totaled vehicles sent by insurance companies, doing an "inventory" of the vehicle. This includes noting if it has all its glass intact, checking for missing body panels (candidate must know what a fender, bumper, hood, trunk, etc. are), and basic interior such as steering wheel, seats, radio, etc.
Other duties will be to attempt to start the vehicle. If the vehicle doesn't start, they will use a battery pack and try to jump the battery.
They will use a handheld device similar to a tablet to enter this information, so experience using a smartphone or tablet is a must.
Candidates will work independently in the yard with little to no supervision. Support is available via handheld radio.
Basic computer skills are required.

This is a fully on-site position in Aliquippa,, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
THIS IS AN OUTSIDE JOB. Work is conducted in the yard. Breaks and lunch may be had inside, and during severe weather, additional breaks will be given. Safety gear and gloves will be available, but all other clothing must be supplied by the employee.
Jeans, steel toe footwear, casual environment. No large logos or offensive print.
1 week Training 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Regular Shift 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Monday - Fridays and overtime on Saturday only as needed. If they have to work a Saturday, it might be 4-5 hours. This is on a business need case only.
The building is located in the Aliquippa area industrial park. The yard has fences around the site. The office is open spaced with workstations. It is a very clean environment.
