Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a full-time ICT Voice & Security Solutions Architect to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

THE ROLE

The ICT Voice & Security Solutions Architect is a highly technical role responsible for the creation, design and implementation of technical solutions to enhance current system capabilities as well as the design of new implementations that encompass and manage all stakeholder expectations. Additionally, the solutions architect is responsible for the control and management of major projects, training and mentorship of lower-level employees, and user guidance on all implemented solutions. The solutions architect must have a broad strategic focus with the ability to advise and make decisions on behalf of senior management regarding issues that impact the organization as a whole. In addition to acting as the organization’s subject matter expert, the solutions architect must be facilitating stakeholder cooperation in an effort toward achieving strategic goals and communicate across all business units and customer groups to assist seamless integration of systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Design technical solutions.

  • Implement refined product design.

  • Integration into current technologies.

  • Manage small teams on project deployments.

  • Provide technical solutions for functional problems.

  • Prepare and present test plans, technical overviews and any analysis.

  • Collaboration with all teams to ensure a robust and repeatable solution.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Document architecture and design of the implemented solution.

  • ​​​​Assist in training for other technical team members and customers.

Technical Competencies

  • Experience and knowledge with Cisco Voice over IP systems and implementation techniques along with WAN networks

  • Experience and knowledge of security systems and all sub components

  • Minimum 10 years of experience creating, designing and implementing complex IT systems

  • Experience with VMware environments

  • Experience and knowledge in CCTV, Radar, Thermal imaging, WiFi, Access Control on a large scale

  • Experience and knowledge in IPTV, A/V, Fibre Coaxial Structured Comms Infrastructure

  • Experience with software and databases

  • Experience with change management techniques and System Security Plans to ICD503 or higher

  • Experience and understanding of industry regulations and requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions to problems

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • B.S. degree Information Technology or equivalent certification and/or working experience

  • Security + VoIP experience

  • ACMA certifications

  • Electronic Trade Certificate

Desirable

12+ years' experience in a high security environment Experience working at all levels of the business Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a significant emphasis on collaboration.

  • NT Drivers License

EXPERIENCE

  • 10 – 15 years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in field as backup for ICT Tech’s

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Working at the facility, a reasonable level of fitness is required and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to be flexible is essential.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 kg independently.

  • Able to coordinate the actions of a small team.

  • Demonstrated preparedness to step up and take charge.

  • Function in a hot desert environment.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English.

  • Australian or US citizen.

EHS REQUIREMENT
