THE ROLE
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Electrical Inspector is the Code Compliance Manager for all electrical installations and electrical works carried out within the JDFPG. This role is responsible for ensuring all relevant installations and works conforms to the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and JDFPG Policy and Procedures.
The Site Electrical Inspector plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration, and is a key advisor of the Engineering, Project, O&M and customer teams across the Program Site.
The Site Electrical Inspector leads the Site Electrical Safety Program and contributes as a technical authority and SME in support of facilities infrastructure, systems and equipment at the JDFPG. This role is a key contributor to the delivery of coordinated and integrated service delivery throughout the Engineering functional area and across the Program.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities/Duties
Lead, develop, implement and maintain the Electrical Safety Program.
Lead and manage the Site Electrical Inspection program and associated training curriculum.
Inspect electrical installations, repairs or modifications to ensure conformance to all relevant codes, standard, plans and specifications.
Conduct field inspections and compile investigation reports.
Support the early identification, communication and resolution of technical deficiencies and/or issues associated with critical infrastructure installation, recapitalization and configuration change activities.
Support the integration, coordination, compilation and communication of technical information, recommendations and advice relevant to facility electrical infrastructure, systems and equipment
Facilitate and advise on technical integration activities and initiatives
Provide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance and life-cycle management.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
- It is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance.

EHS REQUIREMENT
