The Sales & Marketing (SMS) Manager is fully accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Sales & Marketing Services scope with a market focus. The SMS Manager successfully executes in alignment with the North Africa strategy, delivering outstanding service levels with full adherence to compliance requirements.
Reporting to the North Africa StratCO Commercial Operations (CO) Lead:
The position holder is responsible for managing, developing and implementing initiatives for field force effectiveness to drive sales growth in alignment with North Africa CO strategies to accomplish business objectives for Sales Force Automation (SFA), Incentive compensation (IC) and Field Force Efectiveness (FFE).
To provide expert advice and recommendations to BU and Country Leadership on key current field business processes as well as opportunities to optimize processes and FFE. Accountable to ensure effective processes are implemented to allow the core Field Operations business to run smoothly and efficiently.
This role provides ongoing operational support to all field based personnel. It includes developing and supplying key data sets and information that allow the field facing organization to measure and monitor performance and to adapt to external changes
Provide an ongoing communication platform and support for the field force within SMS scope.

Lead all SMS services for market and execute end to end transactional business operations, including:
o Customer Facing incentive schemes
o Sales Quota setting
o Customer targeting
o Data extractions & validations
o Promotional Operations
o Samples Management
In alignment with regional strategy - implement, govern and drive adoption of SFA suite of tools and processes Manage SFA database function, user-training, problem solving and continuous improvement Ensure effective local System Administration, including validation of customer data Maintain up to date colleague, territory brick, deployment, and product data including content in SFA Provide Project Management on local SFA initiatives
Align with North Africa StratCO CO strategy and Global Incentives guidance to develop, implement and calculate the right field force Incentive Compensation (IC) plan (bonuses, awards) to maximize Field Force motivation and effectiveness in a compliant manner. Work with management on sales target setting Develop local IC strategy and design the plan in aligment with StratCO CO strategy and BU strategy Calculate and process incentive payments for the field force Provide effective governance on the Incentive Compenstation plan Work and align with regional IC lead
Field Force Effectiveness
Develop and execute Customer Targeting/Segmentation projects with Business Analytics (BA) and BUs Design, development and delivery of decision support tools to drive field force productivity eg KPIs / Dashboards / Reports Create, implement, and maintain FFE dashboards and reports Establish FFE forums with BUs and relevant stakehodelrs, and drive ongoing periodic FFE review and action planning meetings in alignment with Regional StratCO CO guidance.
Field Force Communications
Lead communication approach to streamline relevant communication with the Field Force Build Field Force communication platform to enhance two-way communication between BU leadership and FF Serve as point of contact for the field for SMS services and ensure effective triage and resolution of issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).
Commercial experience ( preferred minimum 5 years )
Successful track record of leading change within an organization
Operational business and process planning (preferred minimum 2 years)
Deep understanding of field based technology
Proven understanding of field force deployment processes
Ability to work in a matrix environment
