The Opportunity
This position works out of our offices, in Algeria in the Abbott Diabetes Care ( ADC) Division where we are committed to providing people with diabetes the freedom to continuously monitor and track their glucose levels with unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and no painful fingerstick.
What You’ll Do:
Achieve reimbursement at national level in alignment with local and global guidelines.
Prepare reimbursement documentations as specified by authorities in Algeria.
Prepares proposals for pricing and reimbursement submissions of current and future products.
Work closely with the Market Access Director and Management team to deliver and support all strategic goals.
Leadership, Influencing and lobbying with multiple stakeholders at Country level (authorities, payers, KOLs, physician’s associations, patient’s associations…)
Ethics and Compliance - Ensure all business activities are conducted within the framework of the Abbott Code of business conduct and applicable country local laws.
Educate HCPs and patients on the use of the FreeStyle Libre digital health tools and platforms available for the interpretation of glucose data and reports.
Obtain/place and follow up on any orders placed through any of the distribution channels available.
Attend congresses and cycle meetings as and when required – this includes events that might take place over a weekend.
Maintain territory and customer records daily via the approved Abbott tools.
Ensure coverage and frequency targets are met monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in medical subject (pharmacy or other medical science).
Preferred Experience:
10-15 years experience of which at least 3 years have been Market Access roles
Bachelor's degree in medical subject (pharmacy or other medical science).
A “developer”, Start-Up mindset: responsible for establishing a new market; should be able to set up and develop the overall national reimbursement.
National/Public reimbursement experience, with launch & complete reimbursement of at least one new product is a must.
French and English language essential.
Diabetes market experience is preferred.
Medical devicesexperience is an advantage (not a must).
