The Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology Department is looking to fill a ten-month, tenure track non-research Assistant Professor position in the Computer/Electrical Engineering Technology program starting Fall 2024 for the 2024 - 2025 Academic calendar year. This position focuses on teaching laboratory and project-based learning course work. The department is interested in individuals who have a passion for relating engineering technology topics through practical applications to enable students to learn by doing. This position could involve teaching potential courses in electronics fabrication, microcontrollers, microelectronics, IC technology, power systems, electronic communication, among other computer or electrical engineering technology related courses.Applicants will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student population. If you have a desire to work with underrepresented and minoritized students, we strongly encourage you to apply!Position Responsibilities:•Emphasis on teaching computer or electrical engineering technology courses in both lectures and laboratory environments over research and publication activities.•Classroom management activities that range from laboratory set-up to grading and assessment.•Academically and professionally advise students.•Oversee senior projects.•Program coordinator for the Computer Engineering Technology ABET accredited programs.PM18*Job Requirements:Position Minimum Required Requirements•Master's degree in computer or electrical engineering technology, computer or electrical engineering, or closely related field•3 years industrial experience•Excellent written and oral communication skillsPosition Desired Requirements•3 years industrial experience in microelectronics and IC technology using a cleanroom environment•Prior training or teaching experienceThis applicant will be evaluated by the following criteria: education, industrial experience, engineering technology teaching experience, ability to communicate, certifications and licensure.Additional Information:The starting salary for this position is $60,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
