The DPA (Defense Production Act)Title 1Program Analyst. This position will be located at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA and will allow for telework a few days a week.

The Defense Production Act Title I Office provides direction, guidance, and oversight for the Defense Production Act Title I and DPAS within the Department of Defense. The office assists program offices, suppliers, other government agencies, and partner nations when circumstances arise in which there are competing requirements at one or more vendors for a limited industrial resource. The Defense Production Act Title I office reports to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides analytical support such conducting supply chain research, developing briefings, talking points, and action memos, engaging with stakeholders, and responding to Congressional inquiries.
  • Responsible for managing, updating and staffing all DPA Title I policy initiatives and DoD issuances; developing and presenting training material for domestic and international audiences; and, collecting and analyzing data on DPA Title I activities and outcomes
  • Support DPA Title I planning and execution of a security of supple arrangement (SOSA) strategy; processing all international requests for assistance from non-SOSA partner nations; and, and, collecting and analyzing data on DPA Title I activities and outcomes for non-SOSA partner nations requests for assistance.
  • Develop written products to reflect industrial base knowledge and research such as reports, briefings, information papers, and talking points.

Qualifications Required:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance
  • 5-7 years of experience in a related field or focus
  • Experience conducting in-depth research and analysis
  • Experience with interacting with foreign officials
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Qualifications Desired:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • TS/SCI
  • Familiarity with Defense Production Act authorities and the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS)
  • DoD Major Staff (OSD, Joint Staff, Senior Service Staff) experience
  • Experience working with the international community
