Applied Research Associates, Inc. Mid-Level Project Management Analyst in Alexandria, Virginia

Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Mid-Level Project Management Analyst focusing on support to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering. The candidate demonstrates experience in planning, developing, and executing prototyping efforts for defense organizations. This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of tasks to support leaders in the Department of Defense including:

  • Assisting with project oversight from inception through transition with attention to technical and programmatic metrics and milestones

  • Analyzing and evaluating project proposals to ensure alignment with DoD strategies and goals

  • Providing analysis and project management support to monitor project execution

  • Tracking project efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems

  • Conducting technical analysis for proposed, ongoing, or completed projects

  • Developing documents, briefings materials, and responses to short notice data calls for senior leadership

  • Establishing working relationships with project and program managers

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in a relevant discipline

  • 5-7 years of related experience

  • Secret or higher security clearance

  • Experience supporting DoD

  • Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • TS security clearance with SCI eligibility

  • 4+ years desired experience

  • Knowledge of Defense RDT&E

  • OUSD(R&E) experience

  • Experience with small businesses or non-traditional performers
