Alexandria Public Schools is seeking a skilled and reliable ELementary Head Custodian to join our team at Miltona Elementary School! In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive learning environment for our students and staff. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: Maintaining a clean and sanitary school building through sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. Performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing systems (boiler's license required within 6 months of employment). Ensuring the proper functioning of security and alarm systems. Setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for meetings and events. Monitoring inventory levels and maintaining the custodial supply room. Providing courteous and helpful customer service to the public regarding building usage and safety protocols.
