As a Rolling Mill Operator , you are responsible for producing rough product from cast forms.
You will have the opportunity to:
Set up the Rolling Mills and the support equipment needed to successfully render cast forms into rough product
Have a working knowledge of the Target Manufacturing Process, including Casting, Machining, and Finish Preparation of targets
Roll product to a predetermined thickness
Operate support equipment (Scotchman Shear, bandsaws, Timesaver, etc.) as required to alter the shape of the rolled product
Operate annealing equipment (belt furnace or box furnace) to soften material
Operate hydraulic presses to flatten material for further processing
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be proficient using micrometers, calipers and measuring instruments
Basic math skills
Must be proficient with hand and power tools
