Cesar Chavez Foundation Community Service Coordinator-Part Time in Albuquerque, New Mexico
COMMUNITY SERVICE COORDINATOR-PART-TIME
The Cesar Chavez Foundation is a non-profit organization that serves low-income families in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas through affordable housing and social service programs.
Under the direction of the Regional Program Coordinator, the Community Service Coordinator oversees the operations of the Si Se Puede Community Center programs and related activities. This position involves the use of judgment, supervisory ability, and skills in resident/community planning. The position requires implementing and supervising programs, classes and activities for effectiveness. The position requires supervision of residents, volunteers, and student interns. Community Service Coordinators are required to outreach to the community and establish partnership when needed.
THE RESPONSIBILITY:
Maintain all ethical practices of the Cesar Chavez Foundation. by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism
Manage all Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, which consist of an Afterschool Program, Resident Social Services, Meal Distribution, Health and Wellness and Community Outreach
Friendly, outgoing personality that establishes a welcoming environment within the facility for members and visitor
Skill in maintaining record keeping and document retention systems and in compiling comprehensive report
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: At least 12 units of college credit from a two-year accredited college or related experience in Early Childcare, Youth Development, or Community Services (ROP certificate or similar accepted)
Language Skills: Preferably bilingual (Spanish)
Technical Skills: Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel), Adobe, and Canva is highly recommended
Work Environment: Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Background Check: Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting/background check
Health Requirements: Provide proof of a negative TB test result taken within the last year
Availability: Available Monday – Friday, 4 - 4.5 hours during Afterschool hours (2:00 PM – 6:30 PM)
Location: Position requires on-site work at the Learning Center
Certification: Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain these certifications
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed for transportation, setup, and conducting activities

WAGE:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour DOE
