Job Title: Rotary Set Up Tech

Job Description

The Rotary Set Up Tech will be responsible for setting up and operating high volume brass machining cells in the Valve division. This role requires reading work instructions to determine and change all tooling to specifications. When not setting up the rotary machines, the technician will help run and operate them.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret process prints, including math conversions and setting machines.

  • Produce and inspect finished parts using scales, calipers, micrometers, adjustable, direct reading, and fixed gauges to check work.

  • Recognize defective tooling, machine malfunctions, and dimensional deviations.

  • Set and adjust tooling, diagnose machine malfunctions, and make corrective adjustments.

Essential Skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Blueprint reading experience

  • High mechanical aptitude

  • Experience with machine setup and preventive maintenance

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Experience with rotary machines and tooling changeover

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on cars or performing basic mechanical repairs

  • Good job tenure

  • Previous setup experience

  • Experience with die and tooling changes

  • Robotics experience

Work Environment

This role operates in a clean, well-lit facility. The hours are for the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) and the 3rd shift (11pm-7am), with a $1.50 shift premium for both. There is mandatory 24 hours of overtime per month, including one mandatory Saturday, with optional overtime on three other Saturdays. Training will be on the 1st shift for one year before being assigned to the 2nd or 3rd shift based on openings.

The pay range for this position is $51064.00 - $51064.00
