The Net Tech is the technical authority over the network integration of a project and is responsible in assisting installers, customers and testers to perform their tasks.
Provide remote, or onsite, technical support to customer partner technicians, customer technicians.
Assist the field team with:
Review and validation of scripts
Addition of sites within customer databases
Upgrade of software
The Net Tech may be responsible for writing e-MOPs
Must be comfortable with using remote support equipment such as computers, cell phones, routers and test sets.
Must be expert in the test and turn-up of telecom equipment.
Travel to a customer location may be required to supervise maintenance window activities.
Implement network integration in accordance to customer specifications and guidelines.
Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies.
Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Self-starter with integrity and confidence who strives to achieve in even the most challenging environments with limited supervision.
Must be able to take charge and be the expert in customer equipment
Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment.
Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to clearly explain methods and procedures to technicians with varying skill sets.
Minimum six years of industry related experience.
Must have a complete understanding of inside plant design principles, work order procedures, telecom industry standards and be in compliance with the latest revisions of any relevant Safety Codes, Electrical Codes, Customer practices and procedures, local and governmental jurisdiction and be in accordance with instructions supplied by Customer.
Must have functional knowledge of PC applications and strong IT skills.
Ability to read and understand network designs; be able to identify and overcome network issues with new and existing customer facilities.
Ability to meet critical due dates; Good time management.
Good decision making, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
Use of standard office equipment.
Required to travel
Weekend and night work may be required.
Days and locations will vary depending upon business requirements.
