As an Sr Field Service Technician (Building Automation & Controls) at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and can be located in the Rochester and Syracuse, NY locations or surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on building automation equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues promptly, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions
Provide on-site support to clients, addressing technical inquires, and offering guidance on system usage
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities including installation records, maintenance
reports, troubleshooting procedures, etc.
Ensure proper use of safety and personal protection equipment
Acquire security and other clearances as required by customer
The annual base salary range for this position is $57,300 - $71,700. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Technical and mechanical aptitude
Experience identifying and properly using trade tools appropriately
Ability to work independently
Some knowledge of basic HVAC systems, sensors, or automation principals
Ability to travel throughout the service area
Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
WE VALUE:
2+ years of experience within the construction or field service industry
Technical degree or certification in relevant field (Electronics, HVAC, Electricity, etc.)
Experience in controls, mechanical, fire and security industry.
Experience dealing with customer satisfaction
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
