Minimum Qualifications A self-determined leader with a demonstrated interest and commitment to service and civicengagement with a bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience working with a service or civic engagement or community-based organization, government office or government adjacent role.The ideal candidate is a team player and self-starter who is passionate, has exceptional management skills, and a proven ability to turn concepts and ideas into actionable plans.

Duties Description The New York State Lieutenant Governor’s Office is seeking an experienced leader withdeep knowledge of service programs in New York to serve as the Senior Advisor for Service in the new Office of Service and Civic Engagement (OSCE).Under supervision of the Chief Service Officer, the responsibilities of the Senior Advisor for Service include, but are not limited to:Works collaboratively with the Chief Service Officer to set goals and objectives that advance OSCE’s mission to empower and unite New Yorkers by fostering a culture of service and civic engagement, addressing critical community needs, and building a stronger, more resilient state.Support the Chief Service Officer to execute on OSCE’s strategic plan to grow and strengthen service programs and civic engagement opportunities in New York State.Works directly with administration agencies, authorities, and local governments across the state on partnerships to further the OSCE’s initiatives and goals.Partner with non-government institutions, such as non-profit organizations, faith-based institutions, foundations, private sector agencies, and local community leaders to strengthen service opportunities for New Yorkers.Oversees constituent management services, supporting the Office of Service and Civic Engagement, as it maintains hundreds of external relationships across New York State.Identifies issues of key importance to constituent groups, updates the Lt. Governor and Chief Service Officer on these issues and creates opportunities for meaningful engagement.Represent the OSCE at events and meetings as needed.Be able to multitask and prioritize deliverables while being mindful of time-critical deadlines.Perform other related assignments and special projects as needed.Must be willing to travel as needed.
