Minimum Qualifications Eight years of experience* in public relations, social media, and digital communications. *Substitutions: An Associate degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or a similar degree may substitute for two years of the required experience. A Bachelor’s degree in these same fields may substitute for four years of the required experience. A Master’s degree in these same fields may substitute for five years of the required experience.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment, take initiative, lead ideas to results, be able to shift between multiple tasks and priorities, and demonstrate the following:• Exceptional attention to detail • Excellent writing and presentation skills• Superior time management and organizational skills• Supervising and mentoring experienceAdditionally, possess experience and competency in the following:• Social media applications for government communications, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Business Suite, Ads Manager), X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Flickr, and LinkedIn• Website management, including content authoring and editing using a content management system (CMS) such as Drupal• Microsoft O365, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel• Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro• Email applications, including MailChimp, Granicus GovDelivery or similar• Google (GA4) website analytics

Duties Description The Public Information Specialist 3 (Digital Content) will join the OGS Digital Communications team to manage online communications on behalf of the agency. Reporting to the Public Information Manager for Digital Content, this position will help supervise a team while working closely with various OGS programs to listen, gather requirements, and deliver content strategy for agency websites and social media communications, including:• Overseeing the work of Digital Specialists 1 and 2: o Leading daily huddles and team activities. o Setting priorities and managing project timelines. o Providing guidance, feedback, and coaching. o Ensuring timeliness, consistency, and quality of work. o Assisting with administrative and reporting duties.• Developing diverse and inclusive strategies and content for all agency social media channels: o Initiating social campaigns. o Writing social media content. o Managing content calendars. o Pairing and gathering media assets. o Securing necessary reviews and approvals. o Adhering to and enforcing accessibility standards. o Daily monitoring of channels. o Tracking insights and metrics reporting.• Consulting with programs for all new or revised website content: o Building clear and presentable web pages. o Identifying and coordinating appropriate media needs for website content, such as graphics, photography, and video. o Managing online forms and publications. o Adhering to and enforcing accessibility standards for web pages and documents.• Daily website and Intranet content management: o Monitoring of online information for accuracy and timeliness. o Performing routine web edits on SharePoint platforms. o Tracking Google Analytics, drafting reports, and responding to requests for information.• Document management: o Designing and managing interactive forms. o Ensuring document accessibility and metadata standards.• Media asset management: o Ensuring agency media collections are correctly tagged and cataloged. o Responding to media asset special requests.• Occasional night and weekend shifts are required. • Perform a full range of supervisory duties.• Perform other duties as assigned.
