Minimum Qualifications Six (6) years of experience in Public Relations, Social Media, and Digital Communications.Degree Substitutions: Associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, and Digital Communications.An associate’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience.A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.A Master’s degree may be substituted for five (5) years of general experience.

Duties Description Reporting to the Executive Director of Executive Communications and Correspondence, the duties of the Public Information Specialist 1 (Digital Content) will include but are not limited to the following:• Support targeted marketing campaigns and messaging for agency programs and initiatives through email marketing campaigns.• Serve as key administrator for email marketing and contact management applications.• Draft and design informative and targeted messages for digital communications.• Edit, fact-check and proofread documents to ensure accuracy and clarity. • Collaborate with design team to accurately apply agency branding and design guidelines to digital communications across platforms.• Maintain and update statewide subscriber lists.• Oversee the Comptroller’s Student Achievement Awards program, coordinating with other divisions on annual statewide award distribution. • Serve as bureau security officer and liaison to the Division of the Chief Information Officer. • Work closely with Supervisor to respond to requests for special projects and priority items for Executive Staff.
