Infinite Electronics International, Inc Production Technician in Albany, New York
SUMMARY
Responsible for order fulfillment. He/she processes orders while coordinating tasks with the Production Lead to ensure rapid, accurate delivery of products to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing of Transceivers according to Work Instruction guidelines.
Labeling accurately and of the highest quality.
Coding transceivers with the correct certified Bin File.
Packaging of the product as determined by Integra and Customer standards.
Communicate with the Production Lead regarding issues and concerns.
Identify and communicate defective products.
Ensuring that all products are of sound quality and functionality.
Keeping a neat clean work area.
Assist manager with special projects.
Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1 to 3 years’ experience working in a production environment.
Skilled at time management and attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated individual able to work under minimal supervision in a team environment.
Fiber Optic technology understanding, optical communication, and industry standards.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP inventory management programs such as Acumatica/Ascent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires no travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job – Stand, Walk, Sit and Lift and/or move 25 lbs. max. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
