Payroll Analyst

Job Description:

About Us: PayPal is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Business Analyst to join our dynamic finance team in Arizona. If you possess a strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of payroll processes, and a commitment to accuracy, we invite you to apply and contribute to our organization's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for 10K+ employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll calculations, deductions, and withholdings.
  • Validate and reconcile timekeeping records, addressing any discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Calculate and process salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation components.
  • Collaborate closely with HR to ensure employee data is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with US labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll reports to local authorities, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Handle payroll inquiries from employees and provide excellent customer service.
  • Stay informed about changes in labor and tax regulations to ensure compliance in payroll practices.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.
  • Work with vendor to solve for issues and work on enhancements as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of US labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance.
  • Proficiency in (ADP Global View) payroll software and MS Excel for accurate calculations and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong understanding of benefits such as: 401K reporting and auditing, HSA and ownership of the LOA process
