Overview of Job Function:

The Internship program within IT at Verint provides the student with an opportunity to partner with peers, senior personnel, and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching throughout the program. The intern will report to an IT Director and will analyze and build data sets, automate data processes, and build business intelligence (BI) dashboards across the business and help define the appropriate system design and delivery.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining datasets and data marts

  • proficiency in one of the following technology areas:

  • SQL, PL\SQL experience

  • Previous DB experience (Oracle preferred)

  • Database creation – tables, schema, packages, procedures, etc.

  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines proactively to ensure high service availability

  • Assemble large and complex data sets from excel macros at different locations to a centralized location for easy access

  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.

  • Collaborates with yield, process, product/Test Engineering and IT team to improve data models that feed to yield mining tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.

  • Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issue

  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to streamline and optimize operational reports.

  • Use data insights, process knowledge, and critical thinking to identify and validate process improvement opportunities.

  • Use modern BI development tools to develop, maintain and support business requirements.

  • Manage your own workload and ensure timely delivery of your deliverables; escalate risks and issues immediately

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong proficiency in writing/optimizing SQL queries

  • Understanding of BI concepts and tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen ability to apply resolutions.

  • Strong familiarity with the MS Office Suite.

  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.

  • Strong time management skills with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Curious, self-driven, analytical and excited to play with data

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Effective at working in teams and collaborating with technical and non-technical team members

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.

  • Experience with ETL tools like Informatica and Talend.

  • Experience with data querying tools and SQL.
