Green Mountain Electric Driver/Warehouse in Albany, New York
Combination job of both driving and warehouse. Drives truck or automobile over established route to deliver electrical supplies. Assists with the daily tasks including but not limited to picking, checking, verifying orders, loading trucks, and put stock away by performing the following duties
-Checks delivery orders and load delivery vehicle in the most efficient way for delivery route.
-Plans most effective and efficient delivery route based on both customer needs and locations.
-Enters delivery tickets into system to create and print delivery manifest before leaving the warehouse.
-Daily scanning of signed delivery manifests and sales tickets to attach orders in system.
-Completes customer return forms.
-Completes daily pre and post inspection of delivery vehicles, including keeping the inside and outside of vehicle clean, no trash in the inside, checking for washer fluid and repairs, etc.
-Responsible for daily, weekly, and routine delivery vehicle maintenance, as well as communicating when vehicle is in need of repair.
-Listens to customer feedback and relaying this information to supervisor and sales person(s).
-Special projects including inventory counts and warehouse maintenance.
-Records transactions on customer receipt and records deliveries information on daily delivery record.
-Loads truck and unloads truck.
-Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
-Provides own cell phone in order to communicate with customers and staff.
-Fill orders by picking product, double check order by verifying products and counts.
-Proper labeling of boxes and product piece count.
-Proper placement of product to staging area.
-Research of missing product.
-Help maintain a safe work environment.
-Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
-Stores articles in bins, on the floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as size and type of product.
-Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
-Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
-Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
-Cuts stock to size to fill order.
-Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
