ManpowerGroup Clean Energy Communities Project Manager in Albany, New York

Our client, a leader in the clean energy sector, is seeking a Clean Energy Communities Project Manager to join their team.

As a Clean Energy Communities Project Manager, you will be part of the Communities & Local Government department supporting the Clean Energy Communities initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder outreach capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for energy and environmental issues, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Clean Energy Communities Project Manager

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in Albany, NY)

What's the Job?

  • Manage a portfolio of projects/contracts with local governments supporting the Clean Energy Communities program.

  • Engage with external stakeholders and customers to draw insights to improve program delivery.

  • Review deliverables and invoices, managing approvals and budgets.

  • Identify opportunities for replication and showcase successes to encourage scale across New York State.

  • Assist with the development of policies that influence and enable community leadership in clean energy initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience working with local governments and/or clean energy businesses.

  • Knowledge of local regulations pertaining to renewable development, including energy efficiency and climate change.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong computer/database skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental policy, urban planning, or a related field.
