What You’ll Be Doing:
The Associate Director of Identity and Access Management (AD of IAM) reports to the Digital Workplace leadership and sits under the IT function.
The AD of IAM in conjunction with other IT & Security teams, is responsible for the planning, building, delivery, and support of the IAM program. The AD will provide direction and guidance to the development, specifications, and communications of the IAM applications and architecture, as well as provide technical consultation to the business units and IT management and assist in developing plans and direction for the integration of information security requirements.
The AD provides technical expertise on areas of authentication, authorization, access management, privileged access management, identity governance and administration, IAM modernization for humans and machines.
Responsibilities
Facilitates the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong IAM program that balances access with compliance and confidentiality and business requirements
Manages the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities. This includes a technical team of engineers, and other operational personnel, and service providers supporting enterprise capabilities
Identifies the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access and information security
Acts as subject-matter-expert on all IAM disciplines including identity governance and administration (IGA), Access Management (SSO, MFA), privileged access management (PAM) and identity verification
Provides management status reporting to include accomplishments, plans for upcoming activities and overall completion status on a regular basis ensuring all milestones and deliverables are achieved within communicated deadlines
Own the lifecycle management of all IAM technologies and its associated infrastructure
Envisions business outcomes and works with business leaders to create business initiatives
Aligns IAM processes across the organization, and develops and documents standards for organizational use
Fosters an understanding of the need for and application of the IAM system, and facilitates decision making with the business users
Builds and nurtures positive working relationships with other technology teams
Identifies opportunities to improve engagement with the business units
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
Familiarity in one or more of the following areas: Identity management, PAM, SSO and MFA
8+ years of experience in technology implementation, including 7+ years in developing, implementing and architecting information systems, and 7+ years technical architecture experience integrating identity management, access management and access governance software into clients’ infrastructure and applications
Expert understanding of web security standards, architecture, web security best practices and application security best practices
Identity management familiarity in one or more of the following areas: single sign-on (SSO), data management, identity federation, enterprise directory architecture and design (directory schema, directory services, resource provisioning, ITIL, and process integration), identity and access governance (role-based access control, access request and certification), user life cycle management processes, and organizational change management
Proven direct experience with developing/architecting solutions using two or more leading IAM Solution providers such as Azure Entra ID, Delinea, CyberArk and BeyondTrust
Familiarity with compliance standards and understanding audits
Expert understanding of IAM concepts, including federation, authentication, authorization, access controls, access control attacks, identity and access provisioning life cycle
Experience delivering effective oral and written communication
Experience successfully leading and managing a team independently
Experience delivering under tight deadlines
Experience thinking outside the box to design systems and solutions
Experience thinking strategically and incorporating business needs into technical roadmaps
Experience demonstrating strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Experience managing and executing projects and objectives
Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $125,000 - 140,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
