Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Albany, New York
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in ALBANY, New York. As a crucial part of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be tasked with handling vendor payments, maintaining vendor information, processing refunds to patients, and assisting with other expenses. This role will also involve managing off-site document storage, annual audit support, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process incoming invoices and prepare weekly payments for vendors
• Maintain up-to-date vendor information, including management of W9s and 1099s
• Process refunds to patients in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with the processing of other expenses such as health insurance bills, credit card charges, and employee expense reports
• Generate and follow up on a monthly small volume of invoices for services
• Manage off-site document storage and assist with annual audit support
• Engage in other duties as assigned, which may include occasional mailings
• Utilize skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable, data entry, and invoice processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is essential for this role. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a role focused on Accounts Payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing.
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Familiarity with check runs and coding invoices.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with financial software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal teams, vendors, and management.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
