Department Information

This position recruitment is for a temporary position.

Adams State University is currently implementing a new Student Information System, which

requires significant time commitments from our existing staff. The purpose of this position is to

provide administrative support to our Prison Education Program Admissions personnel and to

facilitate the processing of Adams State PEP applications within the Office of Admissions. This

position will cover regular staff duties in data entry, housekeeping of student records, data

integrity audits, organization, and other duties as assigned.

Description of Job

This temporary position will perform general customer services tasks, such as in-person, telephone, and email communication and correspondence with customers.

Work closely with the Director of Admissions and PEP Admissions Processor to support efficient operations by performing organizational and administrative work including clerical work, typing and composing correspondence, filing, answering phones, and responding to the needs of the department.

Maintain and create accurate records, both electronic and hardcopy, in the current CRM and

SIS to facilitate timely admissions turn-around-times for prospective students in the Adams State University Prison Education Programs.

Special project work, which may involve projects like, keeping up with hard-copy inventory, virtual correspondence, assisting with Admissions social media accounts, providing front desk coverage, and similar work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years

A successful candidatewill demonstrate responsible professional conduct at all times; will be punctual and observe scheduled work hours; will not abuse leave and will follow call-in procedures. the successful candidate will also follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment, when required.
