John George Psychiatric Pavilion AHD Assistant Manager, Imaging Services in Alameda, California

SUMMARY: Supervises the operation of the x-ray section at Alameda Hospital. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

  1. Completes monthly staff schedules.

  2. Performs other duties as assigned.

  3. Performs standard supervisory functions, including administration, recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, training, coaching, mentoring, task assignment, performance evaluation, progressive discipline, conflict resolution and allocating staff resources.

  4. Provides in-service training for journeyman technicians.

  5. Responsible for maintenance of department technical section supplies; responsible for preparation of radiologic rooms.

  6. Works on quality improvement projects and assists with reviewing and writing policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Preferred Licenses/Certifications: National registration as a Registered X-Ray Technician issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.

Required Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Required Experience: Five years experience in performing a variety of x-ray examinations.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid certification as a radiologic technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
